We decided to include Bicycle trips (with a team of instructors) which are aimed at our guests who may have a limited possibility of doing cardio, due to health reasons.

The intensity of the activity can be very easily regulated, which is a great way to maintain the body’s exercise load, which, when coupled with strength training, is considered the one of the most effective ways to increase the metabolism and loose fat stores.

Cycling trips are extremely effective in the early stages of weight loss – they can be used as a first step to loosing weight during or for a while after hiking with nordic walking poles. One of the major benefits of cycling, is that there is little to no impact of the joints. People suffering from previous knee and ankle injuries can still benefit from a steady cardio workout with a much lower risk of further damage to the joints caused by the impact of high loads (especially on the knees and ankles). It is extremely important to choose a bike and settings for riding by someone who knows what they’re doing, or, a qualified instructor.

Having a professional instructor is also important to minimise potential problems with regards to the participant’s physical capabilities. An instructor will constantly assess our guest’s status and abilities, so that no individual will be struggling too much, or run the risk of injury. If necessary, the instructor(s) divide the groups into appropriate tours, based of the capabilities of the group, so that everyone can gain the maximum benefit from the ride.
